Community Texts is all about local updates for local people.

This bulletin board service is, as the name suggests, text-based. When you post your event, item, or request in a specified group, your message is sent as a text to all members of that group. For example, if a local grower has beets available, they can post the information in the Fresh from the Field group, and the announcement will be sent directly to all members of that group. Consider it a text based farmer’s market.

You join a particular group and receive only the information relevant to that group. Example: Fresh from the Field is for local growers and buyers. Growers post and buyers are in the know, immediately and locally. Joining Events/Yard Sales will allow you to post your yard sale or you can post your groups upcoming events.
